Clicks and Links Website Projects
At Clicks and Links Ltd in his role as Senior Creative Designer, Gray has been presented with a variety of projects and briefs to complete. The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Website design and construction
- Using hand-coded XHTML and CSS as well as Macromedia website applications and a variety of packages for web and graphic designers.
- Providing Flash animations and menus for websites.
- Ensuring sites follow W3C accessibility guidelines.
- Constantly researching accessibility solutions to common issues.
- Ensuring cross-browser compatibility of websites testing on both MAC and PC on a variety of common browsers (Opera, Firefox, Safari etc.)
- Construction of CMS templates
- Working on a variety of open-source CMS packages including:
- OpenCMS (under the Clicks and Links brand name of Roundabout)
- APLAWS
- Plone
- working closely with a Development Team to ensure a strong finished product and to research new ways of working with CMS to provide accessible websites.
- Working on a variety of open-source CMS packages including:
- Company branding
- Brand design including logos and straplines.
- Determining and providing guidelines on company logos, colouring and font usage.
- Ensuring quality control over all company branded materials.
- Design and production of all printed company materials, including brochures, news-sheets and office materials using such packages as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Production and design of exhibition materials (such as 3x3 pull-up stands and gifts).
- Client marketing
- Design of client marketing materials including logos and colour schemes.
- Authoring of branding guides.
- Production and design of exhibition materials (such as 3x3 pull-up stands and gifts).
- Project management and support
- Managing small-scale website projects from initial requirements gathering through to final client sign-off.
- Authoring of training manuals and product documentation.
- Running training sessions for clients on CMS usage.
- Presentations to clients of project designs.
- Requirements gathering meetings and document authoring.
- Representing the company at corporate events.
